Knights win 12-1 in 7 innings last night to sweep the series and advance to the @MinnBaseball state tournament for the 5th straight year. Knights will be the 3-seed from the Skyline/Section 7B. @MBAState2023 bracket will be revealed Sunday night.

Dukes game with Metro Knights cancelled due to this afternoon’s 1.4” of rain and tonight’s forecast of more rain. 👎🏼
For the second consecutive game, the Knights offense reached double digits in hits. And it was loud contact. Several guys w/multi-hit games: @Brocklarsen2 2-for-4, 2 2B, 3 RBI @nick_ibrahim55 2-for-4, 2 2B @jackmunson223 3-for-3, 2B, RBI, SB @JacksonI2026 3-for-4, RBI, SB
Knights starting pitcher @Christianmundt0 was dominant tonight: 6 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 8 K, Win 71 pitches, 53 strikes After a rough week, the team needed a stopper tonight, and Mundt delivered. And the tone he set on the mound sparked the Knights offense.
Win, 5-1. All three phases of the game finally come together. Great pitching, solid defense, and good situational hitting.
Knights lose tonight on a walk-off catcher's interference call in the bottom of the 9th inning. The bat allegedly hit the catcher's mask, erasing an inning ending 4-3 groundout. One of many bizarre plays tonight. Back in the saddle tomorrow.
After 4 straight extra inning games with @StockmensIrish, the Knights decide to play just 5 tonight. 12-rip Irish. Back in action Wednesday night @OsceolaBraves.
Things we learned today... @TomasPalomarez plays a mean first base. Catchers can steal bases. Pitchers are athletes too. Scott Shield comes out of retirement to help out, logs himself an OF assist. Ten pizzas and 100 wings is exactly the right amount of food to feed 2 teams.
Today's top offensive performers: @JacksonI2026 4-for-6, 2B, BB, 2 SB @Luke_Simpson05 4-for-7, 3B, RBI, SB @Ryan_Jeffrey14 2-for-5, 2 RBI, BB @ParkerHuebsch 2-for-6, SB @tapio_niemioja notched his first Knights hit. @_JohnPeta1 (1-for-2, 2B, BB) is heating up at the plate.
Game 2 starter @Sawyeranders05 turned in his third consecutive quality start. CG, 7 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K Sawyer pounded the zone. 95 pitches, 65 strikes. Also chipped in a single with the bat.
Cowboys got 1 run back in the 2nd and another in the 5th to make it a 4-3 game. Knights had multiple RISP in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th innings but couldn't come up with the big hit. @WyattGavin8 with a clutch 2-out RBI single in the 6th gave the Knights a much-needed insurance run.
Knights dinked and dunked our way to victory in Game 2. @MnCowboys came out hot with 3 hits in the 1st inning to take a 1-0 lead. Knights responded with 4 runs in the bottom half courtesy of some well-placed singles, aggressive baserunning, an error, and a balk.
Knights starting pitcher @TomasPalomarez was nothing short of terrific. CG, 7 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 12 K Tomás carried a 2-hitter into the final frame. 101 total pitches, 71 strikes. And of those, 24 were swinging strikes for an incredible 46% whiff rate.
Things got interesting in the 7th, as a couple of sharply hit balls resulted in some traffic on the bases. An infield single and wild pitch made it a 1-run game and put the tying run in scoring position before a strikeout ended it, securing the 4-3 Win.
Knights jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in Game 1. @JacksonI2026 (2-for-2, BB, 2 SB) and @Ryan_Jeffrey14 (1-for-3, 2 RBI) with 1st inning hits. @MPLS_NorthStars plated a run in the 3rd to make it 2-1. @Luke_Simpson05 tripled home Israel, scored on a FC for a 4-1 lead after 5.
Knights pick up a pair of wins this afternoon, 4-3 and 5-3. Both were tight, fast-paced ballgames. Good pitching was the story today, as @TomasPalomarez and @Sawyeranders05 each went the distance for CG Wins.
Special day today as the Knights honor our former player/manager @WhiskeyTank before today's 1:00 pm game at Polar Lakes. League game vs @MPLS_NorthStars, followed by a friendly with the @MnCowboys. Food at 3:00. All are welcome to attend.
The funk continues. Knights jump out to an early 4-0 lead, give it right back before getting dinked and dunked to death in a 9-4 loss. Split the season series with the Hogs but lose the tiebreaker thanks to 2 unearned runs in the final inning. One of those stretches.
