Some of our BBC WeatherWatchers in West Yorkshire saw sight of a possible tornado yesterday afternoon. WATCH footage of it as it passed Marsden, Huddersfield - bbc.in/4eZU31j
It was a wet weekend for some of us (rain needed in a number of areas of course) Parts of Aberdeenshire and Sussex saw close to a month’s worth of rain. By contrast, Benson (Oxfordshire) received just 6mm

Good morning. A Met Office AMBER weather warning for RAIN remains in force for SE Northern Ireland until 8am. YELLOW warnings for THUNDERSTORMS have been issued for other parts of the UK bbc.co.uk/weather/warnin… I’ll have the forecast @BBCBreakfast

⚠️ A Met Office AMBER🔶 warning for RAIN comes into force tonight across south-east Northern Ireland. Some flooding and disruption likely. I’ll have the latest on the situation on @BBCBreakfast from 6am.

A reminder that a Met Office AMBER warning for THUNDERSTORMS comes into force across parts of S England from 4am. Flash flooding possible. Inoculous (for now) looking showers around Nantes will be responsible. Storms approaching Le Harve right now will clip Kent around midnight.

'Our data scientists will crunch the numbers and find out which species can actually survive that rollercoaster of weather that we face these days' On #BBCBreakfast Dan Hoare from Butterfly Conservation spoke to @MetMattTaylor about the Big Butterfly Count…
Areas under hosepipe bans in place could be prone to flash flooding over the next few days. There’s a risk of torrential thunderstorms producing up to a month’s worth of rain in a few hours in some spots. Met Office warnings have been issued and I’ll have more @BBCBreakfast

Good morning 👋🏻 The Big Butterfly Count starts today. I’m at Magdalen Hill Down, near Winchester for @BBCBreakfast to find out how you can take part. After a worrying year for butterflies last year, will the recent hot and sunny weather have boosted numbers?
It’s fair to say I’d love anything @carolkirkwood does, but Carol’s books have become the perfect summer read and bit of holiday escapism for the other ladies in my life. Poor Carol will soon be subjected to my daughter’s idea for the screenplay and casting 😆
