Yesterday PD Taro demonstrated the capabilities of our dogs when he located a car key hidden in a cemetery after a vehicle pursuit. He made light work of what would have taken our human officers days to resolve, sniffing out the key in about 30minutes. Brilliant work Taro!

Early this evening a 90 year old was subject to an assault by a male after forcing his way inside her address and then fleeing into the night. Up stepped PD MIZZ making light work of tracking the offender, locating him and ensuring a swift arrest.

Today PDs Turbo and Dennis assisted @NPASNorthWest who spotted a male abandon a high powered motorbike and make off. Turbo tracked from the bike and located the male hiding in a bush, whilst Dennis searched the area and located cannabis and forensic evidence. Great teamwork boys!


Officers stopped a vehicle suspected of carrying drugs but came up short — until PD Buddy arrived. One search later and the hidden drugs were found. Nothing gets past that nose. Clever boy, Buddy. 🐾💪

PD Poppy was at it again last night after concerns were raised for a missing female. Following a protracted search within woodland Poppy located the female safe and well. Our dogs don’t just target criminals but help in protecting vulnerable people. Well done Poppy 👏 #clevergirl

Last night PD Poppy assisted patrols after a suspicious male fled from officers. Poppy picked up his track first locating a large discarded kitchen knife. Poppy didn’t stop there as she continued tracking for some distance before locating a stolen motorbike #thenoseknows 👏 🔪 🏍️

PD Wish has made history! 🐾 She and Con Spencer received a Bravery Award from BAGSD — the first UK police dog to ever do so! 👏 They calmly ended a knife incident in St Helens, protecting the public with courage, control, and teamwork. 💙 @k9_core #Proud #PDWish

Yesterday PD Reggie assisted patrols following the chase of a suspicious male. Once detained Reggie carried out a route search before locating a quantity of suspected Class A drugs 👏 #PWITS #cleverboy

A male smashed a vehicle window to steal power tools overnight. PD Yoko tracked from the scene into a nearby road and found the stolen items hidden in bushes. All recovered and returned to the rightful owner. Good girl Yoko!


Last night, Police were extremely concerned for a missing male who’d left his home. PD Poppy was deployed and quickly picked up the trail—tracking from the address and finding him hiding nearby. Clever girl Pops. 🐾

This week PD Mo hangs up his harness, having served the communities of Merseyside since 2017. He has had countless positive jobs, removing dangerous drugs from the streets and supporting investigations with evidential finds. Enjoy retirement Mo, thank you for your service 🙂🐕🦺

After a pursuit through St Helens by @MerPolTraffic, the driver dumped the car and ran. Patrols quickly ID’d him, and PD Yoko tracked from his last sighting—finding a mobile phone he’d tried to ditch. We’ll be seeing him very soon… #TheNoseKnows

A male wanted for domestic-related harassment decided to try and force entry into his ex-partner’s home. What he didn’t know was PD Yoko was on her way. She snuck up while he was still kicking the door — and let’s just say, the sight of Yoko made him think twice. #Arrested

After Matrix officers stopped a vehicle last night, a passenger made off carrying a knife. PD Poppy was up first, tracking the male to a garden and found him hiding. PD Yoko followed up and found the knife he'd ditched. Great teamwork! 🐾 #TeamWork #Arrested #WeaponRecovered


Following an attempted burglary in Moreton last night, a male made off on foot into nearby woodland on police arrival. PD Ike was deployed and successfully tracked the suspect, locating him hiding in brambles. One male arrested. #Room4OnePlease
