This isn't even true. Bruce dealt with supernatural elements well into his first few years as Batman. Why would he only deal with metas much later into his career in a world where they've been established for at least 300 years?
The argument of not wanting The Batman in the DCU because he’s too grounded and realistic is terrible because Bruce’s first few years as Batman were very grounded. And Reeves Batman is on his second year as Batman. He can still work in the DCU.

I don't know why people assume Bruce was old as hell when Damian came into the picture. He was in his late 30s at the oldest pre-Flashpoint and was even younger in the New 52 timeline.
Superman only being 3 years into his career while Batman is already old and grizzled with Damian Wayne as his Robin kinda blows sorry 😭 Metahumans kinda don't work in Battinson's Gotham but the people YEARN for the potential chemistry between these two leading men.
