Mornin' Kim @kim88110 & the @TopTweetTuesday crew 😃 Here's my debut quadrille which I knew previously as a kinda square-dance for 4 couples, hence the form. I thought I'd have a bit of fun by combining Hamlet's dilemma about taking action with my mixed feelings about dancing🤪
Here’s my 44 word poem, stemming from time in Texas. Have a great day hosting, Kim. @TopTweetTuesday @kim88110

@TopTweetTuesday @soopoftheday How far down must you dig for silence? Past the skitterings of insects, the churning of worms through mud. Part the bone layer, unquiet as the bodies are stripped, the marrow eaten up. Even a stone, deep beneath it all remembers birdsong.
I’ve not been on social media of late and have missed being part of wonderful @TopTweetTuesday but offer this for today’s grand and lovely host @soopoftheday with grateful thanks.
It’s me!
This week's host will be enjoying a marmalade sandwich and other tasty snacks during the day to keep their energy levels high so they can read and comment on all the poems. Sue Finch @soopoftheday is back!!!
Here’s my reworked version of a ‘silence’ poem for @TopTweetTuesday with @soopoftheday as host. Enjoy the day, Sue.

Next week's host is asking for quirky, inventive or profound poems of 42 words with a theme of silence.
