One thing I hope England take away from this summer is the wickets need to have a bit more in them. Wickets this slow and flat just make for boring cricket, and unless your team is batting it's unwatchable at times. A sad reminder of the worst of the 2000's.
worth emphasising that one of those assault convictions was on his own *wife* and all
Congratulations Lionesses A lovely win Chloe Kelly for BBC Sports Personality #EnglandSpain 🏴
Poor from Stokes not to bowl Duckett and Zak, we got to see Sibbers filth in 2020. Extremely well played from India, and hopefully shuts up all the idiots that claim they gave up or don't care. Well let's see what the Oval brings, I say bring back the 1938 pitch.
First time a team has passed 600 in England since SA made 637/2d in 2012.
In terms of Root passing Sachin England have around 24 tests between now and the end of the 2027 ashes. Root will likely average between 75-90 per test, so at the end will likely have between 15,000-15,600 runs. So it really depends if he lasts past those Ashes.
Yes dear the new generation of boomers has arrived.
Don’t shout at me but batting these days is way easier than 20/25 years ago! Probably twice as hard back then! Waqar, Shoaib, Akram, Mushtaq, Kumble, Srinath, Harbhajan, Donald, Pollock, Klusener, Gough, McGrath, Lee, Warne, Gillespie, Bond, Vettori, Cairns, Vaas, Murali,…
In terms of home games Kane has 486 runs at 32 in 8 home games vs India and Australia, 15% of home games Root has 3513 at 56.7 in 39 tests, 47% of his home tests.
5 tests in SL, 271 runs at 30 9 tests in the WI, 832 runs at 51 157 tests, 13,324 runs at 53.5 So a higher average than Root, partly thanks to easier home opposition, and actually less runs.
