Just to put this in context. The House Rules Committee needs to report a rule so the speaker can put bills on the floor. The rules committee is paralyzed because of how the speaker is dealing with the Epstein issue. So the House can’t do anything of substance this week.

Why are you fighting back against releasing what your administration and DOJ knows about Epstein? Release the unedited video and the files. Bring it to light. That should clear everything up.

The Rules Committee is now voting on an actual bill that would force the release of the Epstein documents. Every House Republican voted no. Every Democrat voted yes.
The Speaker is offering up a resolution that states some platitudes about the Epstein files but doesn’t require the release of them. They could require the release, but they aren’t. This is just to shut people up. Doubt it’ll work though.
