Always seeking to greater one’s capacity for learning. Student of the game.
Rodrygo would have best fitted Liverpool. As they have the overlapping fullbacks needed to allow him to play inside. But since the arrival of Wirtz this is no longer possible.
Arsenal and Arteta better watch out that Chelsea don’t steal the light.
My biggest fear for Arsenal is the slow emergence of Chelsea. Another club to compete against for the premier league. The only hope would be a post Pep hangover at City. Keeping it to just 2 teams to contend with. Chelsea need a keeper and is Maresca elite? But they are close.
Now this does win Arsenal the league.
Exclusive 💣 @Arsenal has officially put the pressure on Crystal Palace. They've met up and laid it all out on the table, giving @CPFC the ultimate decision to make. Arsenal's ready to pay in three installments for that release clause, but they’ve made it clear: if Palace…
The initial strength to hold off the defender The ball manipulation The burst to get away from the defender The feint to create separation And to top it off the finish. A true icon. 🇪🇬👑
𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 😱 A goal we’ll never tire of watching. Out of this world from @MoSalah 👏
What impresses me most about Salah is his constant evolution. Every year he seems to add something new to his armoury. Playing with Wirtz will allow less creative burden. Interesting to see if Salah is purely goal focused next season.
This season it seems like the premier league is changing guards: From the likes of KDB to Wirtz etc… Only one man stays constant in both eras. 🇪🇬👑

Gyökeres can keep calm in front of goal. What will define his time at Arsenal is how he can use quick subtle movement to generate goal scoring opportunities. You’d be looking at a 30 goal league season. If he doesn’t, he will still score ~ 15 league goals.
The grand master of goal scoring. Never lose these instincts. Creating goal scoring opportunities is about the subtle movement. Once the ball is at your feet it’s all mental. The likes of Nunez have the former but not the latter. The former is a skill, the latter is mindset.
🇵🇹 Cristiano Ronaldo equalizing goal vs Spain. The greatest to ever do it on the biggest stage.
Goals like this just won’t happen in the prem. the defenders aren’t going to afford such time.
Goal #6. - again, really poor defending - the initial defender opts to allow VG to turn and take control of the situation - should have engaged immediately, tight and aggressive - Gyökeres takes control of the encounter - well taken goal on his weaker left foot Another goal…
This Haaland hat-trick is another example of how a great goal scorer operates. Look at the way he uses his sheer physicality and determination to beat the defenders to the ball for his 1st and 3rd goal or how he is perfectly placed for the 2nd.
Highlights of our comeback against Crystal Palace! ▶️💪 #ManCity
This a perfect example of how a great goal scorer works. Gets blind side of the defender Tracks flight of the ball perfectly Creates separation Executes action with perfect form Mbappe smells the goal. Scoring goals is almost like an addiction for a player like Mbappe.
🚨 Mbappé with a STATEMENT goal from ALL ANGLES!
Arsenal would be better with Sesko. He has a much better physical profile than Gyokeres. He’s could dominate the box. Also looks threatening on transition. Sesko needs to learn to use his body better. Once that happens he’ll be unstoppable. Would be a fumble by Arsenal.
For Gyökeres to be a success at Arsenal he needs to dominate the box. Not sure he has the physicality to be able to stamp his authority in the prem. This will ultimately determine his time at Arsenal. Mentally he is a killer. He’s a great threat during transition.
Ronaldo is the top goal scorer in football history because he could threaten from: In the box Transition threat Set pieces Individual brilliance A top goal scorer should have at least the top 2 qualities. But mainly the first. As most of football exits in settled phase.
Watching some Ronaldo highlights. To be a top striker you have to know how to ‘own the box’ Through the use of physical and mental attributes. Always reading the flight of the ball and using physical attributes to out manoeuvre defenders. Then selecting the right finish.
Ronaldo always had his priorities straight at the latter end of his Real Madrid career. Save yourself till the latter part of the season when your team needs you.
Remember when
Barella is a good shout, I think Madrid need a maturer player in this position as it’s a lot of responsibility to burden. Think they need some to shield the criticism of the young midfielders.
Hard to say, would be a process of gaining respect and becoming very brave. Think Perez missed a trick with Kimmich icl. Model professional, experienced at a big club, will shield the criticism away from the young midfielders and does that role as well as anyone.
Like I said it has to be an experienced player who can command respect of the team straight away.
🚨 JUST IN: Xabi Alonso's staff believes that the team needs a deep-lying playmaker in midfield, but the club hasn't found ANY player on the market that they consider good enough. @La_SER
Neto-Palmer-Gittens Delap It’s a good attack, Chelsea are going to be a threat. Not to mention Joao Pedro also. Chelsea ambition in the market along with improved decision making is a lethal combo.
