I just realized I haven't said much about George ever since this tweet. Not to worry, though, he's still around! His stories haven't seen much progress, but I can assure you they are still happening!
Update 2: Found out a relatively unaddressed issue when it comes to writing about the NWR pre-nationalization: What do you call the NWR without calling it the NWR? Topham wasn't the controller of the railway in the 1920s, so you can't exactly call it his, can you?
Thomas & Gordon if it was... if it was uhmm.... uhhhhh..... what was the word again? If it was um, uh, fuck, seriously, what was it again? What's a Thomas & Gordon, anyway? Is it a company? some sort of- WAIT THAT'S WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY IT WAS Thomas & Gordon if it was the pilot!
This is nowhere near what Awdry intended when writing that letter all those years ago, but it'd be really funny if the two engines were completely chill with Thomas the whole time they were on Sodor, since the letter never mentions him as one of the engines they were rude to.
Surprise! I've also been working on Pilot Gordon for the past week or so now. He won't release at the same time as Thomas, but he will (hopefully) not be following too far behind.
