My professional analysis of the next 9 days in Kansas City: one big OOF.

After spending much of June in Jefferson City, the @kmbc Capitol Bureau shifted across the state line to Topeka today. Here’s our report from the Kansas Statehouse after lawmakers extended the STAR Bonds offer to give the @Chiefs and @Royals more time to make a decision:

NEW VIDEO: B-2 bombers land back at Whiteman Air Force Base today in Knob Noster, Missouri, after about a 36-hour flight to strike targets in Iran. Seven B-2s took off from Whiteman just after 12 a.m. on Saturday. The first bombers back landed just before 12 p.m. Sunday.
On @kmbc right now: live updates from the Pentagon following B-2s from Whiteman Air Force Base striking Iran last night. We have reaction from across Missouri, Kansas and the world on First News this morning.

Just in: @repcleaver says his name is on what appears to be a hit list found in the car of Minnesota murder suspect Vance Boelter. Boelter is accused of shooting two Democratic state lawmakers, killing one of them, early Saturday morning. Statement from Rep. Cleaver here:

As expected, @GovMikeKehoe makes it official today by signing legislation finalizing the state’s pitch to keep the @Chiefs and @Royals in Missouri. Lobbyists from both teams told lawmakers they intend to make a decision before the KS STAR Bonds proposal expires on June 30.

The Missouri special session is officially over. Lawmakers approved hundreds of millions of dollars for @Chiefs and @Royals stadium projects. The fight for the teams shifts back to the KC region now. Here’s our final #moleg report of the session from the @kmbc Capitol Bureau:
