Additional data point to this: ECS on Fargate Windows was REVOLUTIONARY for a lot of companies! They suddenly went from hand-crafted EC2s straight to serverless containers! Failing pipelines, cranky builds, broken deploys, capacity issues all disappeared with minimal effort 🚀

Following up from yesterday, here is an in-depth blog post on SOCI and how it works in Fargate: aws.amazon.com/blogs/containe…
Cool to see early experimentation with Fargate and SOCI.
I did a few quick experiments on SOCI support for Fargate / ECR, comparing the gains for different image sizes. tl;dr – for big images, this is a huge win. For small images it doesn't make much of a difference. Performance One thing upfront: Several places, including the quoted…

Very excited about this launch. The team has worked a long time on this and we've had great feedback from our customers that have been running this in preview. This is best suited for larger container images, so looking forward to seeing how this will help our customers!

The Amazon Builders' Library is an hidden gem: it consists of articles written by some of the most senior AWS engineers covering foundational patterns and principles used when building AWS services. Most learnings can be applied anywhere. Here are my favourite articles:
This will be a good one:
