The #Flames haven’t put together consecutive seasons with over 95 points since 2005-06 and 2006-07. Can they do it this year? I really don’t see it happening especially if they keep moving guys out, but would be pleasantly surprised if it did.

Three years ago, the Flames traded Matthew Tkachuk and honestly got a very good deal for him. They proceeded to panic and give Huberdeau a 8yr/$10.5M deal two weeks later without seeing one minute of him in a Flames jersey. They continue to dig out of that to this day.

I can't believe it was just a decade ago that we were heading into Bob Hartley's last season as the Flames head coach. Feels like so much has happened in the last decade, particularly the last five years.

Kerins - 1 yr, two-way, 775K Kuznetsov - 2 yrs, Yr 1 two-way, Yr 2 one-way, 812.5K Poirier - 1 yr, two-way, 775K Kuznetsov is the most interesting one as the Flames look like they may be ready to commit to him for an NHL roll with an NHL salary this year or next.

Dustin Wolf could be a narrative changer for this franchise in the same way Hellebuyck did so for the Jets. Not trying to be overdramatic but the Flames may have the next goaltending superstar if his development continues and he’s an American that likes it here. Lock him up.

I feel like this end of season road trip is one of the first times I’ve seen a team play the same opponent twice in the same trip without it being a back-to-back or within the same division.

It’s so awesome seeing Dustin Wolf around the city all summer for Stampede, charity events, and just being in town. Really seems to be happy being in CGY and I think the franchise would be wise to reward their star player with a long-term deal a yr early as appreciation for that
