This week, devastating funding cuts passed Congress that slash American humanitarian aid globally and cut funding for public news stations that alert millions to severe weather and updates during emergencies. I voted NO on these cuts and will continue to fight for these programs.

One of my favorite parts of being in public service is connecting with voters face-to-face. @MayforVA and I surprised a few folks at their doors this weekend and talked about what’s driving them to the polls this November, from federal layoffs to grocery prices to Medicaid cuts.

I’ve been saying for months we’d see the impact of these unstable tariffs by mid-summer. Today’s CPI data confirms just that. Inflation is up, prices are up, and the American people continue to get hurt by Donald Trump’s actions. I’ll keep pushing back against this recklessness.

Over 100 Virginians braved the heat this weekend to join me in supporting @SpanbergerForVA for Governor and @mayforva for House of Delegates! The grassroots energy and dedication to flip Virginia blue this November fills me with a lot of hope.
