Breaking: World of Good Brands—the company formerly known as Leaf Group (and before that, Demand Media)—has sold off its remaining editorial titles, laid off its staff, and shuttered. Its owner, Graham Holdings, which also owns Slate, paid $323 million in 2021 to acquire it.
New: OpenAI has been courting ad agencies to diversify revenue. In one recent pitch, it sought a $1M upfront commitment for joint projects and tool licenses. But existing agency ties to Microsoft, which already offers OpenAI’s tools, limits the appetite for direct deals.
