I get disliking the modern Mario sports games but this take on aces and battle league feels so forced. Aces gameplay was insanely fun and special shots looked insanely cool And battle league, say what you want, the animations were awesome and gameplay was fun still what.
While I like her somewhat now, a lot of the hate comes down to her debut. an NSMBU rerelease, one actively worse during this nsmb hate era, where she/toadette forced an easy mode for four players. I don't hate her anymore but it's easy to see why people did

I kinda do... I just wish it was actual boards and normal minigames tho... like seriously I cannot think of one thing that it adds to the base game, it's all just extra side modes, 5 turns(idc) and tag team.
