Final update: they replicated my problem and replaced everything I sent in (dock, console, wires). All the new stuff works perfectly, and my save data is intact. Unfortunate that this happened, but it seems my issues are officially over!
Frustrating update to this saga: instead of just sending me a replacement dock, they have made me send in my Switch 2 console "for testing" despite telling them that it works seamlessly on another dock

Just mailed in the dock for repair/replacement. I tried everything people suggested, and nothing worked. I have seen other posts from people having the same issue, so I know this is a defect. I am not happy!
