As the library @Makerere, we provide career guidance and mentorship to the students doing internship including those with hearing impairment. Some staff were trained in the use of sign language to provide inclusive services @MakGuild @MakerereNews @MakCoCIS @DICTSMakerere

Today, we received Mr. Vincent Ssekkono’s autobiography as legal deposit. He was a career civil servant, a former Permanent Secretary and secretary to the Electoral Commission in 1980

Today has marked the end of the three days' RIF exhibition @Makerere. @MakerereLibrary staff fully participated in the exhibition, and participants were introduced to the different digitisation projects & tools used to access the electronic resources. @MakerereNews @MakGuild


A team from Western University, Canada led by Prof. Alan Shepard, President and Vice-Chancellor visited the @Makerere, @ProfNawangwe and they had a guided tour of the Main Library led by Dr. Ruth Nalumaga, University Librarian. They viewed some journals published in 1540s

Today, Ms. Rhoda Nalubega, the Senior Librarian and Head of the Africana Section @Makerere, was selected to participate in the 11th Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-11) as a panelist @MunyonyoResort. Congratulations Rhoda

The University Librarian @Makerere Dr. Ruth Nalumaga and her team joined the rest of the world in the fight against AIDS by participating in the #KabakaBirthdayRun2025. Staff also donated blood to save lives. @ProfNawangwe @MakerereNews @CuulibrariesU

.@MakerereLaw gets a new Librarian: Mr. Zekeri Ochieng has taken over office from Ms. Annet Kibajjo, in an event held today at the school. Ms. Kibajjo has served the school for 7 years. We congratulate Annet upon her promotion and wish her continued success in her new position.
We received students from MUMSA High School, Mityana. They had a guided tour of the Main Library services and facilities @Makerere. This is part of the library's support to the new secondary school curriculum in a bid to meet the national and global information needs
