OG Ben Bartch sustained a quad injury while he was working out away from the facility. He should be ready to go "relatively early" in camp, 49ers GM John Lynch said.
The 49ers signed WR Equanimeous St. Brown to their 90-man roster at the opening of training camp. He is a six-year NFL veteran who appeared in two games with no catches for the Saints last year.
The 49ers expect Ricky Pearsall (hamstring) to be cleared early in camp. He is not expected to be activated Wednesday, but could be ready to go after the early acclimation period, according to John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan.
Brandon Aiyuk is in a really good place, considering “he did a lot to his knee,” John Lynch said. He’ll be working on his rehab and the team is encouraged. They are not close to having any kind of timeline, Lynch said.
John Lynch said Jauan Jennings reported and took his physical and he anticipates Jennings “being out there.” Said Lynch on contract situation, “We love him and he’s here.”

The 49ers today had tryouts with six wide receivers: Equanimeous St. Brown, Quintez Cephus, Grant DuBose, Ramel Keyton, Stanley Morgan and Brandon Powell. QB Spencer Petras, also on a tryout, threw them passes.
The 49ers today announced they have released S George Odum, who has been one of the team's top special-teams performers since his arrival as a free agent in 2022.
The last time 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan updated injuries (June 10), he said Ricky Pearsall, Ji’Ayir Brown, Andre Dillard, George Odum & Yetur Gross-Matos were expected to be cleared for training camp. The entire team reports Tuesday. The first practice is scheduled for Wednesday.
Players who were rehabbing physical conditions at the end of the offseason program can report early to training camp. They automatically go on the PUP list. Some of those players are expected to come off the list and be on the field when 49ers practice begins on Wednesday.

DT Alfred Collins, who did not participate in the 49ers’ offseason program due to a calf injury, was NOT placed on the non-football injury list upon signing and reporting to Santa Clara. That means he is cleared to take the field once training camp practices begins on July 23.
It’s official. The 49ers announced DT Alfred Collins has signed the mandatory four-year contract for a draft pick. Now, all 11 of the team's 2025 draft selections are signed.
The 49ers’ agreement with DT Alfred Collins was like the first olive to leave the jar, as Jim Harbaugh might say. Now, the second-round picks behind Collins are tumbling out and getting their deals completed.
