This is how the NGO Industrial Complex works. Donations are given to one large nonprofit to "manage" and distribute to smaller nonprofits. In this case, PA-based Annenberg Foundation managed the FireAid funds. Their CEO, a former media executive, earns over $735,000 per year.
Democrats and celebrities raised $50m for the victims of the Los Angeles fires. But where did that money actually go? Not to the victims but rather nonprofits and into the pockets of high-salary executives and staff teams.
