MEG United Kingdom & Ireland 2024 at the University of Birmingham. QMAG & QMEG OPM Meetings Monday 28th - Thursday 31st October 2024
Thanks to our many generous sponsors: @Brainbox_Neuro @ANTNeuro_UK @meetmegin @MAG4Health @CercaMagnetics @FieldLineInc @Laser2000UK @Sensors_QTHub Without you the event couldn't have gone ahead. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!

Really enjoyed my first @MEG_UKI_2024 Learned a lot from the talks, gained valuable insights from the community, and met some new and old friends! Such an honour to receive the Best Poster Presentation Award! Big thank to the organising team!
An impression of our second round of poster presentations. It's really noticeable that the talks are all very clear AND that our speakers have excellent timekeeping. Thanks speakers - it's hard to keep everything on schedule and your attention to detail really helps 👍

OH LOOK - MEG UKI IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Hurray! Don't miss out—submit your abstract now! An exciting opportunity for early-career researchers to be selected for a long(keynote) talk! All the info here: meguk.ac.uk/meg-uki-2025/
Thoroughly enjoyed @MEG_UKI_2024; exploring the physics of OPM systems & their exciting clinical applications, as well as inspiring research insights from neurodegenerative disease to generative AI... And #UoY's own @CEJpreston's novel in utero OPM paradigm!
An absolutely amazing few days.... thank you so much to @AndrewJohnQuinn and the whole @MEG_UKI_2024 team for a fantastic conference!!!
Second keynote time! Delighted to welcome @rikhens to talk about ten years of CamCAN. @TheCHBH's Tara Ghafari @12_taqua made a very important point in her introduction: Globally, many researchers don't have access to MEG scanners. Open datasets like CAMCan democratise research.

Impression of this morning's first session. Many thanks to this session's presenters @oiwi3000, @magnetokrishio, @LukasRier and Dan Bush. We've had machine learning, big data, connectome scanners, fear conditioning, and of course, lots and lots and lots of oscillations 🙂

It's the final day of @MEG_UKI_2024! The insights shared here over the past few days have been outstanding - we are proud to support the organisation of this conference. Visit our booth with @MAG4Health to continue the conversation about OPM-MEG and your research🧠#MEGUKI2024
Here's an impression of our last scientific session of the day. Many thanks to @YBezsudnova, @EelkeSpaak, @WangDanying and @EleonoraMarcant for your excellent talks. I hope everyone else is feeling inspired by today's presentations. I know I am.

Data analysis is hard. We tried to make it easier (for M/EEG)! We developed a toolbox based on MNE-Python to make preprocessing, source recon, and other analysis easier, and more efficient, transparent, and reproducible. It's called osl-ephys - check it out! (links below)
It's a full house for our first keynote: @MarWimber from @UofGlasgow @CCNi_UofG presenting some gargantuan multimodal efforts to understand how the brain constructs memories of past events. My brain is going to be reconstructing the memory of this talk for a while 😍
