I’m a fan of nebulized TXA! Anecdote from residency: 40s F w/ massive hemoptysis iso DAH. Used nebulized TXA prior to intubation to help optimize and it worked extremely well such that we held off on ED intubation and she was safely monitored direct to OR for Bronch!
🚨TXA for Hemoptysis: We Put That $#!t on Everything (That Bleeds) Pt 2 🫁💨 Neb TXA worked faster & needed fewer procedures than IV in a small RCT 🌬️ Cheap, no IV, and maybe better ⚠️ Mostly TB patients, but results? 🔥 📖 rebelem.com #FOAMed #MedTwitter #MedX

Calcium channel blockers consistently outperform adenosine for SVT, and do not make people feel like they're going to die. I haven't used adenosine for stable SVT in many years. jem-journal.com/article/S0736-…
IVC assessments were the "hot new thing" in POCUS when I was a fellow. Today, it's a minimal component of my practice. There are too many variables involved to help one make a volume status decision based solely on this. 🎩 tip to the authors. eddyjoemd.com/foamed
Me: “So we’ll start ceftriaxone and admit to medicine.” Intern: “Slay.” I like this generation of residents.
Best financial decision I've made is getting an espresso machine for home
