22yrs on Wall Street. 10yrs fighting DOJ/FBI. My books on Amazon: 'Target' : http://amazon.com/dp/0999757237 'Teethmarks': http://amazon.com/dp/0999757202
I followed #FBI agent out of courtroom right after my joke guilty verdict in #Libor. I blurted: "Score one for the BAD GUYS today!" Texted my lawyer later to let him know what I did. My lawyer: "I know. We all heard you." Oops?? My book: 👇 amazon.com/dp/0999757237
@Wftproof - it is picking up steam indeed. Well done to @karentodner and team.
I hope the takeaway from this for the SFO, FCA and political elite's in the UK is that the group effort is picking up steam now and WILL NOT go away. Whether it be pension fraud, PG's, SMEs asset stripping, IRHP etc etc. Deal with it now or be SHAMED later. You have been warned.
I'd be the perfect spokesperson for @EvanWilliamsUSA . To return the favor to them. They were my legal co-counsel and PR firm for years. They only charged me $29 per 1.75L. Almost pro bono.
Contacted by a firm that wanted me to pay them to do PR for me. "You are too rough around the edges to be accepted by the mainstream." I responded with story about when #Deutschebank hired me an 'executive life coach' & I told them to FUCK OFF! @EvanWilliamsUSA does my PR free
Knowing the difference between "legal" advice and "life" advice is what I drill into people that are sucked into this vacuum of FBI/DOJ dysfunction.
"Nothing you say can be used against you in future proceedings unless you lie" has got to be the most exploited term in legal history... Who defines a lie? If you are FBI or DOJ - there is NO such thing as a lie. Anyone else - ANYTHING you say we can make a lie. Your welcome.
Yes, "Fuck off" is a newly established legal term.
I am glad she is doing this. But it still does not mean they won't use her interview against her in the future. Not much to lose though. In general, after my "queen for a day" experience, I tell people you are better off telling FBI/DOJ to fuck off unless you are guilty & dealing
So true! There is no such thing as “innocent until proven guilty”. In this system you are guilty until proven innocent. And even if you win at trial, you are not found innocent. They simply say you’re not guilty. We need to get rid of absolute immunity for prosecutors.
Powell and his 500 PhD's zigged when they should have zagged. Ramped up the balance sheet and $$ printing right before inflation hit. Caught by surprise, they had to jack up rates, CREATING $1TRN in unrealized losses. Good job. Maybe turn in fancy diploma's for a big bonfire?
Don't worry. Unlimited debt issuance, printing money, more tax loopholes, a 5 Trillion #Fed balance sheet will all work out just fine. Trust us.
So Federal Reserve unrealized losses go from $0 to $1TRN under Jerome Powell. And he OK'd a $2.5Billion building renovation for Fed HQ? And he can't be fired? The key is the unrealized losses. So much for their 500 PhD's in DC. Negligence.
Important Point, there needs to be a formal process to recompense Paul, Nicholas and others for doing the regulators job on behalf of the public. They do this work at great personal cost, not just financial.
Yes Mick. @Carlier_J87 is a national treasure. Even with a little less hair nowadays.
Paul Carlier on tonight’s ttf presentation was absolutely awesome ! Dog with a bone does not sum up.. he is on a mission . His determination is incredible. Lots will get a payout but this is the man behind it! 👏👏👏
Unpopular view: banks were extorted into pleading guilty to conduct that was LEGAL. They pleaded guilty (I know the details of threats leveled PER bank). Why don't banks get their LIBOR pleas vacated and share fine rebate w/ prosecuted traders & other victims of financial crime?
Glad the others behind @robilypj are not wasting any time petitioning for their LIBOR convictions to be overturned. This should be a formality. After my US 2022 acquittal, reversals and vacated guilty pleas took only a few months. @DavidDavisMP is on it. ft.com/content/5ee83c…
And true car finance is just coming online. Add that to the list. Once again, the UK elite does not care one bit about the rest of us. As long as they continue to pile up money. @Carlier_J87 . True car scandal is massive.
Also recommended is Teethmarks on my chopsticks. It was Matt Connolly’s acquittal that set this earthquake of British jurisprudence in train. audible.co.uk/pd/Teethmarks-…
It's been SO interesting to become a client in a high-stakes legal drama AFTER litigating for a decade. This advice is EVERYTHING. Also, every client MUST advocate for themselves. And many lawyers refuse to listen to their clients. It's bananas.
I pointed people to our 86 page prosecution misconduct brief. The DOJ/FBI response was always "the judge denied the motion." The judge was VERY clear(her comments👇) they LIED all the time. So that tells you that MORE than 86 pages of misconduct are needed to be material. Insane
I got my law degree at Whatsamatta U. I attended from 2013 to 2023. I interacted with dozens of "the best" lawyers in the world in many venues. I met some very gifted lawyers, but 80% I could run circles around myself. Why I always tell people to hire their lawyers CAREFULLY.
