I loved that they were on an old school Hollywood set so we got to have a mix of that in the background of the shots, which in turn helped make it seem more of a period piece but with it actually making sense.

Personally I like this more than him just being disfigured. Though I also really like how one iteration combined both versions that made it a (relatively) small scar that turned into a disfigurement after Doom freaked out over it and put the mask on before it was done cooling

This was actually Jack Kirby’s original intention for the character. His idea was that Doom only had a small scar but he’s so egotistical that he saw it as a disgusting deformity and covered his entire face.

One thing I LOVED about #FantasticFour    was the legitimate dread around Galactus. He truly felt terrifying.
