Another border flares up. From Gaza to Ukraine, Sudan to Cambodia, war is less an exception, more like a pattern of trauma which repeats itself. Players and location may change. So are peacekeeping institutions outpaced, redundant? Or is the world just learning to live with war?
Wishing you good health sir ://indianexpress.com/article/india/jagdeep-dhankhar-resigns-as-vice-president-citing-health-reasons-10140666/@VPIndia
Supreme Court says it clearly: Mental health care is a right. Failure at 16/17 years may feel like the end of the world forna student. And that's where the right to health must be seen in action -and to make future generations feel cared for. livelaw.in/supreme-court/…
The ban on 15 year old vehicles was originally meant for commercial vehicles which are used extensively not private vehicles. Well maintained, serviced and running, such private vehicles are indicators of automotive history and valuable the world over. Yet in India we scrap them?
#BREAKING Delhi govt has filed a review application in the Supreme Court, seeking reconsideration of the 2018 blanket ban on old vehicles. The CJI-led bench will hear the matter on July 28. @harishvnair1 joins @anchoramitaw with more updates.
Both saline solution/ medication and blood products/plasma etc are given through the same IV line to patients. While the former is called infusion, the latter transfusion. I wonder why??
With the UK India FTA in place and as import duties on Scotch Whisky (drinking) and BRITISH cars (driving) reduces, I do hope both Govts wake up to the reality that they have ended up promoting drinking and driving 😄
A law intern wanted to use Chat GPT to analyse witness statements for an appeal in my office. His mentor gave him hard copies to use natural Intelligence instead of artificial Intelligence [AI]!!!!
Why do even the most prosperous Indian states still use subsidies to reach out to an excluded majority? Growth that excludes becomes redistribution that compensates. We not only need higher incomes but wider participation.

Despite a strict law on rights for persons with disabilities, digital universe excludes many from accessing necessicities such as aadhar, bank account and mobile phones.Thought provoking discussion at IIC Delhi, today on Pragya Prasoon decision by @Vidhi_India. THANK YOU!

India once prided itself on non-alignment. Today, it's seen walking a tightrope between Moscow's oil & NATO's posturing. While choosing sides has a cost, as an aspiring Vishwaguru, it cannot seem to be sitting on a fence. In a multipolar world, strategic ambiguity may not work.
Such views of the senior most policeman in Bihar State will define his constable's approach to the jobless. Being unemployed is an unfortunate circumstance, not a crime, nor an indicator of criminal intent or acts sirji. livemint.com/news/india/sho…
History was once a record of what was - in the mind of the victor and ruler till the subaltern school came along. It's always been a tool to shape what will be and how we narrate yesterday decides who defines tomorrow.
India’s retail inflation is down!!! Yet for States like Kerala, Punjab & J&K inflation stays above the national avg of 2.7%. Inflation isn’t equal. It mpacts basics differently -what you eat, how you live, and where you live. Averages just don't account for local pain points.
An interesting piece. In my view our unity is not about uniformity but fraternity and coexistence, and that makes us special. And our diversity is not only historical but also Constitutional.

Turns out Sholay wasn’t just India’s blockbuster—it was Iran’s too. And Gabbar remains Bollywood’s most iconic bandit for those of us born in the 1960's.
🇮🇳🇮🇷 On #Sholay’s 50th anniversary, #IranNewspaper dedicated a full-page tribute to the iconic film. With its unforgettable story of friendship, Sholay became a cornerstone of cinematic memory in #Iran; so much so that many Iranians still associate #Bollywood with this epic.
Well said sahib. India has a top heavy advocacy system. We need to recognize the merit of trial Court practice and practioners. They must be considered for senior designation and elevation as well. After all foundation of most disputes and decision making is in the trial Courts.
There are certain Trial lawyers who are simply way past most Senior Counsels in terms of knowledge & depth of the law & are experts in the fine art of cross-examination. These lawyers barely receive any recognition from the system & they probably don't crave for it as well.
Thought for the day-respect and learning of regional languages and culture (perhaps by mandating in schools) will go a long way in fostering fraternity and respect for others across India and bind us together. Serious introspection by State and national level ducators is needed.
