Great to see this finally in (almost) print. We show some novel evidence that hit temperatures affect the well-being of US children through increases in maltreatment. Not a good thing given climate change.
Hot temperatures lead to increases in alleged and substantiated maltreatment of young children. Just Accepted new paper by Mary F. Evans (@mfranevans), Ludovica Gazze (@LudoGazze), and Jessamyn Schaller (@JessamynSchall1) zurl.co/aI03r
Today was a blast. Can't wait for tomorrow!
Today, @LudoGazze (@warwickecon) presented “Is Traffic Bad for Business? Evidence from the London Congestion Charge Zone”. The study, feat. @m_saintmary (Warwick), finds less firms in the CCZ-affected area initially, but growth in employment, size and retail sails over time.

Well, I guess I'm doing this now. *Anxious excitement* I'm revealing my side project now, a shiny interactive dashboard giving frictionless access to the data of the Ukraine Support Tracker (ifw-kiel.de/topics/war-aga…): infornomics.shinyapps.io/shinyukraine/
Hey #EconTwitter who do I know that works with/on organizations serving newly arrived migrants and/or refugees to the US/UK?
Now seems as good a time as any other to reiterate that we're hiring. In England. A place with some of its own issues, which I'm vocal about, but where reproductive rights are not on the line, for example.
We're hiring. 2 asst positions open. Our department is supportive of juniors, full of talented researchers who often cross field boundaries to produce unique research and who are also kind and thoughtful and fun humans. I've been super happy here. Apply! econjobmarket.org/positions/11181

Happening now. Tune in!
📆 28 October @ 16:15 BST The #WE_ARE Seminar Series week 3 focus is Micro & Applied #Microeconomics 🗣️Lei Li (@EconUniMannheim), "When Growth Stumbles, Pollute? Trade War, Environmental Enforcement, and Pollution" Host: @LudoGazze (@warwickecon) ✍️ ow.ly/fvUg50TQBIL
And the quest for somebody who'll publish a null result that in the editor's words is "surprising, but nothing to learn here" goes on. Can somebody just create the journal of this thing that should totally have worked but didn't?
Excited to host this seminar. Tune in!
