I had a butterfly fly into my classroom today. Caused more chaos than a mouse and wasp combined. Hoping for a fox to run in tomorrow.

I'm at that pre-holiday point of wearing the ancient, faded t shirts and bras that are really uncomfortable but not quite at the point of demanding we become naturists to keep everything clean to pack yet. It's going to get worse, isn't it?

A pallid, unbaked macaroni cheese. Can you tell that I live with a pippist person? Looking forward to it once it's bubbly and burnished.

Freshly cooked fish is being demanded.

Asbocat is relaxing.

Asbocat has been off her food for a bit, so I cooked her some fish tonight. This is a cheering sight.

I don't know what caused more havoc today. The butterfly in the classroom (the second one recently) or the dead hedgehog on the field.

I made a very nice potato, lemon, bean and smoked salmon salad tonight. Other gubbins involved. But my hands smelt so strongly of salmon. Washed them loads, no luck. In desperation, dripped a little rum over them. Smell like a cocktail now. Much better.

One hot, splatted Asbocat. She did revive briefly for a morsel of smoked salmon.

I have just made the crunchiest, crispiest crackling with juicy roast pork below that I have ever managed. All due to a recipe from @SabrinaGhayour.

Not completely sure what I love most about mint chocolatey things. That it's sweet, creamy, chocolatey but also fresh and minty. Or that my husband hates it all so I get to eat everything.

Drinking a glass of sauvignon blanc. First time I've experienced the cat pee smell I've heard of with that wine. Weird. Wine tastes lovely, though (a fancy one that was on an affordable offer).

Our stereo seems to have died. Waaaah! This feels expensive.

Anyone got a banging uks2 picture book suggestion for me? @MrEFinch you are usually sound on this. I'm hot, exhausted and uninspired. Someone light a spark please.

I'm slightly winning because at least I know it's my wedding anniversary tomorrow and I've got my husband a card and everything. If anyone knows how many years I've been married though, I'd be grateful to be enlightened.

Listening to the music channel. Just had a lovely rant at my long suffering husband about why those good ole boys were drinking whisky and rye, because surely that's some kind of quadruple whisky shot thing. Where is the mixer in all of this? Do they have ice? I need to know.

In view of how hot tomorrow looks, think ill just be sitting around at home in my pants.

My dad. He died far too young over 45 years ago. Wish he hadn't. He was great.

Just did a tray of roasted veg with @WorldFamousHot1s's pasta herb mix (pasta pal?) and pork chops with the last of my @WorldFamousHot1 turkey dust on pork chops. Lovely.
