We're pleased the Product Regulation & Metrology Bill has been granted Royal Assent. We see an e-bike/e-scooter fire every 2⃣ days and have been calling for regulation to improve safety on online marketplaces to protect consumers from dangerous products that pose a fire risk.

We were called to this fire on Saturday in #Hanwell, which had been caused by the failure of an e-bike battery. Thankfully no one was hurt. Investigators found the bike had been overcharged and the incorrect charger was being used. #ChargeSafe⚡️ london-fire.gov.uk/incidents/2025…
