👀 Don’t think 49ers should have any concerns re: CJ West’s get-off. He’s toe-to-toe with Bryce Huff, one of the fastest in the league, here
Make sure to check out my discussion with former Lakers strength and conditioning coach Jim Cotta, who's worked with Kobe, Shaq and even Terrell Owens. Very timely discussion as it relates to injuries and physical prep at start of 49ers training camp: youtu.be/ZWgYqXlP0ak
A look at how the 49ers' position battles are going so far. If Renardo Green misses any time at CB, there'll be more reps on the table for youngsters like Jakob Robinson, who had a PBU Friday. We go deep into it all so check it out. Full article: sfstandard.com/2025/07/26/49e…

Not much of a compromise needed from the Bengals. That money was coming anyway. All seems like a big waste of time from Stewart’s camp, and they finally folded
To get Shemar Stewart on the field, both sides compromised. — Stewart agreed to Cincy’s new language. — The #Bengals moved $500K of Stewart’s signing bonus up and paid up front, rather than pay it December.
Rookie RB Jordan James looks notably comfortable out at 49ers practice so far. He did not score well athletically but seems to move much better than testing results would indicate. You know what other Shanahan RB fit a similar mold? Devonta Freeman

Oh no, what will the next absurd “49ers should trade for this guy” take be? 😂
Just in: Shemar Stewart and the Cincinnati Bengals reached agreement on a four-year, fully guaranteed $18.97 million contract that includes a $10.4 million signing bonus, per his agent Zac Hiller of LAA. Every 2025 first-round pick now has a deal.
Dee Winters was fooled once in spring. When he saw Brock Purdy drop back to pass out of the same formation this week, Winters would not be fooled again. Read here: sfstandard.com/2025/07/24/dee…
New 49ers special teams coordinator Brant Boyer on Jake Moody: “I see a guy who lost his confidence a little, but I also a see guy who was injured half the year. He’s a super talented kid and he just has to get his stinger back, so to speak."
49ers kicker Jake Moody has moved from a 3-step to a 2-step approach ahead of his kicks. Says it's reduced the amount of variables pre-kick and allows him to see the ball on the ground before making contact
Longest 49ers practice so far. First fight. Very quick scuffle between Jauan Jennings and Deommodore Lenoir. Practice moved on. No Brock Purdy (personal reason), both Mac Jones and Tanner Mordecai made some nice throws and also threw an INT each. Ji’Ayir Brown and Jalen Graham…
49ers kicking competition update of Day 3 Greg Joseph: 2-4 Jake Moody: 3-4 Both missed the 50+ yarder. Joseph also missed the 40+ yarder
Don’t forget the 49ers have a second former HC atop their defense. Here’s Gus Bradley observing rookie DT CJ West in D-line drills
Pearsall is healthy, has been hitting all his MPH marks — 49ers just building his endurance to ensure he’s good to go for camp practices. A lot of management stuff like this early in camp, which is why the overreactions last week were insane

Practice squad would mean that Neyor would have to clear waivers. A 6-4, 220, 4.4, 1.51 10-yard split WR making plays like today's at camp probably isn't clearing waivers. Still, long way to go
Isaiah Neyor is 6-4, 220 pounds and runs a 4.4 40. His measurables are off the charts. He's rough around the edges, but this type of play makes it obvious why the 49ers should, at the very least, develop him on the practice squad. He's got a chance at the active roster.
Everything Nick Bosa says has some real thought behind it... and he paused an extra bit before that last line
Nick Bosa on Robert Saleh returning to the 49ers: “When I was a rookie I didn’t know any better. Having him back has been awesome... His commanding presence in the defensive meetings, it’s what we needed.”
The Christian Wilkins situation is wild. On March 15, his $27.25m base salary for 2026 became fully guaranteed. But the Raiders revoked that and the $8m guarantee this season. $35.25m in guaranteed money just removed. Yeah, there will be lawyers involved here
