Most people know Lou Gehrig’s famous words from his 'Luckiest Man' speech. Days after his ALS diagnosis, Lou stood before a packed stadium, too weak to hold his trophies but still strong enough to lift others up with gratitude. He’s the reason we choose to Live Like Lou. 💙
Today, as we remember Lou Gehrig’s iconic words, we thank him for putting ALS on the map. His courage and gratitude inspire us to feel like the #Luckiest and remember that, even in the most challenging moments, we have 'an awful lot to live for.' 💙⚾️

During the @pirates' Lou Gehrig Day, William Lemmon received the LLL #Onward Award for $444, with a generous additional $2,000 from the Pirates. His father, David, was diagnosed with ALS in 2017. He’ll pursue Health, Physical, & Special Education at @MySaintVincent this fall.
