She blinks but doesn't full on jump, laughing softly at his reaction.
Here comes a jump scare- Benji flinches- gasping softly, followed by a chuckle. "Jesus-"
"That was fun, I should head out." She gets up and puts her jacket back on.
Benji shrugs, eating some more chips- then realizing the movie is over. "Aw-"
She snorts and shakes her head. "Believe me, you don't. I like the image of me you've got now. Let's leave it at that."
He tilts his head. "Why not? I'd like to know what you're really like if it's so different from what I think."
"There's nothing to be curious about."
He grins softly. "Is that so?.. Now I'm curious.."
She shakes her head and looks back at the movie. "That's cause you don't know me very well."
"Well- I just did." He winks and chuckles softly, eating some chips.
"That's like one of the few adjectives I'd never use for myself."
He flashes her a soft smile. "Thank you- you're very sweet.."
"I'm not judging you for anything, I've done more stupid and more silly shit. And society isn't here, it's just us. No need to be embarrassed."
Benji lets out a soft chuckle. "I guess-"
"According to who? Who decides that?"
"No-... it's just.. not manly to get scared." He says, frowning a little.
"Who cares? Do you care that I'm not scared? That I'm not hiding behind my eyes or getting all close to hide from the scares?"
"Everyone?" He says, pouting a little.
"Says who?" She raises an eyebrow as she looks at him.
He shrugs a little. "A guy isn't really supposed to be scared.."
"Why? Being scared is a natural reaction."
"I'm slightly embarrassed." He chuckles softly, taking a sip of his drink.
"I guess I'm just not easily scared." She laughs softly as she leans over to grab some more chips.
"Me too, but they keep making me jump."
"I love horror movies, I watch a lot of them." She shrugs.
He attempts to relax again, getting more comfortable. After a while, he glances over at her. "Not easily scared, I see?"
"Yeah well, I'm a person of my word. I said I'd come along, so here I am." She sighs deeply. "Why are we here?"
“again. very good question.” he nods, reaching over to the cup of coffee that he has brought and he takes a sip before setting it down again. “you know, you don’t have to stay right? if you feel like leaving, go ahead.”
She doesn't comment on his reaction, just focuses on the movie.
Benji continues to grin- feeling a little bit embarrassed.
She's just quietly watching the movie, enjoying her drink. It's a good movie.
The movie now got a little bit more exciting- Benji is sitting there staring- slowly eating and taking sips as his eyes are glued to the screen now.
"Yeah, they're shit." She grabs her coke to take a long sip, focusing on the movie.
"Oof- really?" He asks, eating his chips.
"You must have less realistic nightmares than I do. I don't think I've ever had a nightmare that I could look back on as some sort of movie."
"Honestly- I think it's kind of cool, having a nightmare." He chuckles softly, grabbing a handful of chips as well. "It's like a movie- in your brain.. keeps you thinking about it all day, trying to make sense of it because most of the time it doesn't make sense at all."
"Only fictional ones." She points out with a laugh as she teaches over to grab some chips.
Benji reaches behind the couch- then grabbing a bag of chips from the small cabinet behind it. He rips it open and sets it in between them. "Right?" He grins and starts watching the movie.
