The United States is knocked out of Volleyball Nations League in the quarterfinals by No. 1 seed Italy with a 22, 21, 26 sweep. Avery Skinner led the USA with 11 kills. Franklin added 7 kills and a block. Lexi Rodriguez recorded a match-high 14 digs.

It's really a shame the SEC doesn't have a conference wide media days like the Big Ten does.... Bringing back the conference tournament.... having multiple top ten (if not top 5) teams.... Vandy is back.... Would've been a great start to the season.

I finally received the UF contract for Ryan Theis. He signed a 5-year deal with a base salary of $360,000. Mary Wise's last contract, signed in 2023, gave her a base rate of $343,906. Both contracts had a $20K media bonus, $20K appearal bonus and $38K longevity bonus each year.

Florida hires former Marquette coach Ryan Theis to take over for Mary Wise. Theis coached the Golden Eagles for 11 seasons going 258-87, making the NCAA Tournament 10 times and reaching the regional semifinals three times. He was also a Florida assistant coach from 2006-07.
