Diogo and Andre were human beings before they were footballers, but our connections to them were forged through football. I haven't known what to say about their passing - I still don't - but I am thankful to Diogo in particular. Our number 20. medium.com/@newislonan/di…
The idea of Liverpool lining up at Anfield when they play the likes of Man City and Arsenal with Wirtz, Isak and Salah, while still having Van Dijk and Alisson at the back, is mouth watering. Arteta and Pep could rock up with the nastiest low blocks ever, we're still scoring.
Alexander Isak wants Liverpool... 👇🏼
So we signed Ekitike for £4m then? Phenomenal business. No wonder we can afford to sign Isak.
🚨 Bayern Munich reach total agreement with Liverpool to sign Luis Diaz. Deal for 28yo winger €75m + permission granted to travel for medical. Proposed 4+1yr contract at #FCBayern. Now ~£190m sales since Hughes became #LFC sporting director @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/65155…
I've been as guilty as anyone of being overly critical of Diaz, and yes he was frustrating, but he was relentless, really good at attacking space, a strong outlet and evidently very versatile. Undisputably a successful signing.
Slot: “We didn’t defend the right side aggressive enough.” There's lots of things to say, but I saw the post-match interview after Milan, and while it's only pre-season, that's what stood out. But again, it's pre-season. It's not really the time for us to make snap judgements.
I suppose comp makers might finally have another clip for Van Dijk, though of course about half of those clips come in pre-season games and not in matches that actually matter.
Lord of the Rings fan? Is it too late to do the CB at RB thing?
12 hours to kill on our way to Japan, The Lord Of The Rings trilogy should do it
Slot has complete faith in Mac, so even if you don't want him to start, he will. Started 2/2 vs City Started 2/2 vs PSG Started 3/3 vs Newcastle Started 2/2 vs Everton Started 1/1 vs Arsenal (injured for Anfield) He's loved by Slot, and will be selected in the biggest games.
He's more important for this team than Mac Allister who got benched vs Chelsea at home for Jones, hooked for Szoboszlai at the Emirates (dominated after he got hooked)
Ekitike confirming we're playing 4-4-2.
Hugo Ekitike: "I can't define myself only as a striker [who likes] to finish: I like to play, I like to be in the game, in the collective part of play [and] create also. So, I can do both - I can play alone and I like to play also with another striker." 👀
David tells me why 4-4-2 is the best formation to play next season. Or something like that. The latest on Isak to Liverpool⬇️ sportsmole.co.uk/football/liver…
Since you're all cowards and too afraid to name the formation we'll play, I'll say it for you.

Nunez would be sensible replacement imo @NUFC. For you, £65m.
🚨 Alexander Isak wants to leave Newcastle United. Absence from Celtic friendly + Asia tour 25yo’s preference. #NUFC keen for Sweden international striker to stay on improved deal but also exploring potential replacements @TheAthleticFC after @CraigHope_DM nytimes.com/athletic/64952…
About that.
Can’t wait for Isak to smash one in against your boys on GW2 under the famous SJP lights ⏳
Isak could do the funniest thing ever second game of the season.
