Neither CCTV, gun-shot detection technology (eg Shot Spotter) or both combined led to any change in the likelihood of shooting cases being solved (🇺🇸). However, a real-time intelligence centre did increase the chances of non-fatal shootings being solved. doi.org/10.1111/1745-9…

Good to see the IOPC releasing details of what happened in a police shooting incidents in hours, not months. This is crucial (although not all that’s needed) to maintaining public confidence in police. (It would have been good to see more details in the tweet itself, though).
