Carnot's Law
@Len54Len
Leonard Sadi Carnot -In his 1824 treatise, "On the Motive Power of Heat" he discovers a Law which governs life, our universe, everything-the 2nd Law of Thermo.

"Elon Musk is the Guy with unlimited ambition, he just needs his mind to be constantly fulfilled and the problems that he takes need to become more and more complex over time, in order to keep him interested" -Kimbal Musk (Elon's brother)
Pythagoras, Euclid, Archimedes, Galileo...
as mentioned in Sir Isaac Newton's 1676 letter to Robert Hooke ✍️
Yes, we live in this Golden Age where hot and cold exists so that nature can make heat engines and extract ordered energy and build structure, life! Sadly, thermal equilibrium will be our demise, but lets not dwell on it. :-)
The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy (or disorder) of an isolated system always increases over time. This means that the universe, as a whole, is moving towards a state of maximum disorder.
5 MWe likely too small, too proliferated, and not well matched with electric power generating thermo-cycle equipment. AI compute data centers are projected to need ~100 MWe so that scale seems to be a sweet spot for AI, medium cities, etc.
100MWe is nothing for nuclear. This is just a test platform for Gen 4. Generally, though, MRs are more suited for things like individuals DCs and manufacturing plants, and should put out closer to ~5 MWe/unit while requiring basically no upkeep.
But if not a physical wave, what is it when electrons travel through the double-slit experiment and produce an interference pattern on the screen?
There’s no contradiction, unless the mind isn’t a part of reality. Von Neumann didn’t think that the quantum wave function corresponded to a physical wave, like sound or electromagnetism. After all, the wave function doesn’t have physical units.
Indeed, a physical process since its occurring in the physical world. Does it need a conscious observer? Grok says: Stapp’s view aligns with the idea that Process 1 represents a distinct physical mechanism, though he extends this by linking it to mental phenomena...
Von Neumann thought collapse was an objective physical process. He called it Process 1. Henry Stapp, who was a student of Pauli, has written extensively on this.
Agreed. Was trying to say that physics today downplays the possibility that consciousness could play a role in collapsing the wave function. Yet one of the great minds of the 20th century thought it possible. BTW, Norm-Square of the W.F. is a PDF with physical units.

The United States has run trade deficits for 48 straight years, during which time the U.S. economy has grown by 255% in real terms. Decades of trade deficits have corresponded with increases in manufacturing output, wealth, and household incomes.
Grok translation from the Latin: IN MEMORY OF RENÉ DESCARTES RESTORER OF DOCTRINE WITH PRAISE AND WITH THE SUBTLETY OF GENIUS MOST EXCELLENT WHO FIRST IN RENEWED EUROPE BY THE STUDIES OF GOOD ARTS TO HUMAN REASON RIGHT SAVING THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AUTHORITY DEFENDED AND ASSERTED…
Here is a better pic: In a small church in Paris. That's where they said we could find him. Searched and could not find the tomb. Little old Nun finally knew and showed us.

Just love this. The universe is the answer and we must ask it the right questions! The Creator has carefully placed bread crumbs, just far enough apart that it is extremely challenging for us, easy to get off track and lost but every century comes just the right genius to put us…
Elon Musk: I found meaning in the idea that we should preserve and expand consciousness, and explore the universe. “When I was a teenager, I had an existential crisis to try to figure out what's the meaning of life. There didn't seem to be any meaning. For me, at least, the…
Hope so but sadly it won't be this easy. Here you struggle with the laws of physics. There you must struggle with human actions and reactions. Think how much more difficult a Mars landing would be if their was a little Martian there waiting with a hack saw. 😉
Now @DOGE will do this with government
Some "dreams" from the early 90s of a moon base and nuclear rockets to Mars. Our lament then was we could not rebuild the mighty Saturn V. All the special tools and secret recipes were lost!
