The FBU executive council met today to consider a pay offer from fire service employers. It is for: 🟥A 3.2% increase 🟥Scrapping the trainee pay rate 🟥Immediate talks on pay progression The EC recommends that members vote to accept. Balloting dates will be confirmed shortly
Our pay campaign is just beginning. At conference, delegates voted to approve a plan: ✅Win pay progression ✅Address pay inequality ✅Recover after years of austerity To deliver this, we need investment. If sufficient progress is not made, we will consider industrial action.

Two firefighters and one member of the public have been confirmed dead following a fire incident at Bicester, Oxfordshire. This is terrible news. Our thoughts are with their families, friends and colleagues. The FBU will be on hand to provide support in the coming days.
