City wardens have been out catching up with their work in the wards dealing with fly tipping, bins on the street and builders waste all blocking the public footpath

Last July we cleared away more than 47 tonnes of rubbish and litter from our parks in #Leicester – more than double what we cleared in November. We love to see people using our parks in the warm weather, but remember to take your litter home, put it in a bin, or risk a fine.
Stoneygate city warden is collating all the complaints regarding bins on the streets ready to start the next bins on the street project in the ward.


City wardens are back out and about in the wards dealing with items dumped in the road or blocking the pavements including builders materials and fridges. After speaking to residents these have now been removed.

City wardens have investigated a report of a fly tipped caravan and waste. No evidence was found and cleansing services have cleared the car park.

Enviro crime officers have investigated a fly tip on Sheldon Street. They admitted the offence when interviewed and have been fined £400 and given the bill the for the clean up costs.
