Mostly just thinking out loud.
If you describe what is occurring in the US as a “coup” or “fascism,” or refer to the elected government as a “regime” (left or right), I have deep contempt for you. Your cosplaying as oppressed makes light of the suffering of those who have lived under actual authoritarianism.
Let’s add to this the quality of hearing you critique an ELEMENT of a narrative or debate and take it to mean you are against the overall position even though you aren’t.
Ridiculous.
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump and Fed Chair Jerome Powell are ARGUING over the cost of the Fed renovations...LMAO. Within SECONDS of getting up to the cameras, Trump said, the cost rose to $3.1B. TRUMP: "It went up a lot." POWELL: Shakes head TRUMP: "It's now 3.1. It just came…
Outrageously, the Stanford Graduate Worker Union is attempting to FIRE all graduate students from @Stanford who refuse to join the union or pay union dues/fees. @Stanford has so far equivocated on the demands. My latest at @StanfordReview w Dylan Rem🧵 stanfordreview.org/stanford-gradu…
EOs can’t direct states or cities to do anything because they are not federal entities under the purview of the executive branch.
THE WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCED THAT TRUMP PLANS TO SIGN AN EXECUTIVE ORDER DIRECTING CITIES AND STATES TO REMOVE HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS FROM PUBLIC STREETS.
I generally find Drew thoughtful, even when I disagree. But this is one of those “time to log off” moments.
They wrote exactly 14 words and capitalised H twice to form a HH (Heil Hitler). Homeland Security account is being run by a legit groyper.
I dream of being so irrelevant that the White House feels it has to comment.
The White House says "South Park" is not "relevant," "hanging on by a thread," and a "fourth-rate show." The $1.5 billion Paramount is reportedly paying for five years of streaming rights begs to differ. rollingstone.com/politics/polit…
Shocked to see the French fold under pressure.

Really makes you wonder how Gawker went astray and was bankrupted given that it employed such classy people with such sound judgment.
So Hulk Hogan died. As a former Gawker writer (as are all Gawker writers thanks to Hulk Hogan), I won't be the first or the last to say 'fuck that guy.' Dance on any grave you want to, but this one's mine.
Despite reasonable effort on my part, I’d say I’m still closer in temperament to Kevin Williamson that Charles Cooke.
To piggyback on this, your periodic reminder that John Brennan should be in prison for ordering the hacking of the Senate computers.
Your periodic reminder that one of the things to know about Clapper is that he bald-faced lied to Congress about NSA collection of data on Americans, to Sen. Ron Wyden, and was of course never punished. Can we please stop treating him like an arbiter of honorable public service?

Knowing Clapper, I think that is the sound of a man distraught that a nation he spent his life defending as an intelligence chief now has one who is using the position to defame people Trump doesn't like in order to deflect from his scandals. That's the sound.
The problem with trying to incept “Colbert was fired for political reasons” is that people can actually watch his show and see he isn’t funny. It is reminiscent of their “the Biden economy is the greatest economy ever” argument, which was refuted by going to a grocery store.
