I really am thrilled and honoured to have won Local Democracy Reporter of the Year at the Celebrating Brilliant Journalism Awards in Manchester last week. To receive it from @carolvorders - a great champion of journalism - was the icing on the cake.

I think I may have got a national exclusive while talking to Tourism Minister Sir Chris Bryant during his visit to Cornwall this week #bankholiday cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
I'm not sure you will read a story quite as astonishing as this today. I interviewed him when he returned to work at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in 2020, the same year he was named Britain's bravest man. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
Everything you need to know about the debate at Cornwall Council today calling for the Duchy to be recognised as the fifth nation of the UK. The majority of Reform UK councillors voted against the motion. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
Cllr Rory Gow, seconding a motion for a Cornwall-only devolution deal, says at full council: “It’s not anti-Devon or anti-England but pro-Cornwall.”

North Cornwall Lib Dem MP Ben Maguire has deleted his X / Twitter account after accusing a women’s group of having a ‘fascist agenda’. He says he now regrets the remark made ‘in the heat of the moment’. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
I hate stadium concerts but Lana Del Rey certainly did things a bit differently at her biggest ever UK show in Cardiff last night. You don’t get many pop queens whose American Dream set goes up in flames to a mix of the Vertigo theme and Allen Ginsberg’s Howl.
I visited St Austell which has recently received some bad press nationally. Yes, it definitely has problems but does it deserve its reputation as ‘St Awful’? There are some good people trying to make the town a bit more ‘St Awesome’ #Cornwall cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
That was indeed AMAZING! Thank you always @sparksofficial

The first Cabinet meeting by Cornwall's new coalition was certainly a lesson in good PR and marketing. Perhaps the new administration learned from Labour's winter fuel payments train wreck and decided that the best way to start is with some good news. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
Good to hear you interviewing Jason Thomas Performing Arts on @BBCCornwall just now @TheAnoushkaW - the student he started welling up about leaving is my daughter!
The parish councillor in Cornwall whose comments concerning the Holocaust were roundly condemned has refused to resign at an extraordinary meeting. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
The first committee chairs have been elected at Cornwall Council. Robin Moorcroft (Independent) is chair of the licensing cttee, with Damon Dennis (Lib Dem) as vice-chair, while Luke Rogers (LD) is chair of the Harbours Board and Martyn Alvey (Cons) is vice-chair. No Reform yet.
A contentious plan for what would be one of the tallest wind farms in the UK will be considered by a Cornwall Council planning committee next week. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-…
