Yes preprint to check! All the work from my PhD is out now. PhD done in two amazing labs @BPSIYork @YorkYeast 💫 This preprint presents an optimised marker for protein aggregates in yeast which I think has the potential to be useful in many metabolic/stress related studies ✨️
Traditional protein aggregation sensing interferes with native metabolic processes and has fluorescent protein dimerisation artifacts. Elegant @LecinskiSarah @YorkYeast work overcomes this @BiologyatYork @UoY_PET biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Another day, another school! Had a great session with a new class today, teaching eukaryotic cell biology and microscopy. Distributed another heap of @TeamFoldscope devices and some edible cells. Thanks to @GenSocUK and @BiologyatYork for funding 🙌
It’s @UniOfYork graduation week - lovely to see 2 amazing scientists before the ceremonies! @LecinskiSarah will graduate today and @klatherinepaine tomorrow. It’s not easy to navigate a PhD during COVID19. However, these superstars did: 9 publications and counting 🌟🙌 🤯
