The voice of British Muslims in the @UKLabour Party.
The Labour Muslim Network has written to @YvetteCooperMP following reports of police officers threatening Palestine protesters with arrest. Holding a Palestinian flag, condemning the ongoing genocide and calling for freedom for Gaza is not illegal. This is about our democracy.

Anti-Palestinian racism is rife - both in Britain and around the world. It is time we call it what it is and challenge it head on.
Denying food to an entire population isn’t just cruel. When it’s done to Palestinians because they’re Palestinian, that’s #AntiPalestinianRacism
9 more have been killed in Gaza by malnutrition in the last 24 hours. This is a crisis. A total of 122 people, including 83 children, have died because of a lack of food
101 people, including 80 children, have died as a result of malnutrition in Gaza. 33 have died, including 12 children, just in the last 48 hours as a result of malnutrition. Israeli forces continue to deny basic supplies to Gaza's civilian population.

Following a meeting with representatives from our Muslim communities in Haringey, Bibi Khan and I have written to the Foreign Secretary calling for: - Recognition of a Palestinian state - An end to arms sales to Israel Our communities are urging the government to step up.
🇵🇸 Recognition is the absolute right of the Palestinian people. There is no legitimate argument to delay or deny this right. Not for a “process” and not for approval from another state. I spoke to @TimesRadio about the calls for the Labour government to do much more ⬇️
Recognition and self determination is the inalienable right of the Palestinian people. There is no justification for delaying or denying recognition of the state of Palestine. Our national chair @AliMilaniUK spoke to @TimesRadio about the calls from across the Labour Party ⬇️

Israel is carrying out war crime after war crime in Gaza. The UK must act – enforce a ceasefire, impose sanctions on Israel, recognise Palestine, and end the blockade on Gaza. Inaction is a moral stain on our national conscience. There is no neutrality in the face of this…
🚨 Gaza is starving! The NRC (amongst others) has said its aid stocks are completely depleted in Gaza & some of its own staff are starving. "Our last tent, our last food parcel, our last relief items have been distributed. There is nothing left."
🇵🇸 There is no justification for delaying or denying the recognition of Palestine. LMN has been campaigning for recognition of Palestinian statehood for nearly a decade. Today we join @MayorofLondon, MPs, Councillors and Members to call on the government to act now.

The UK must immediately recognise Palestinian statehood. There can be no two state solution if there is no viable state left to call Palestine.
At least 33 people, including 12 children, have died from malnutrition in the past 48 hours in Gaza. UN chief says Gaza's "last lifelines" are collapsing, with humanitarian conditions breaking down at an "accelerating" pace during Israel's offensive. bbc.co.uk/news/live/cvg9…
The country is shocked and utterly disgusted by the horrific scenes of mass killings and starvation in Gaza over the weekend. The Foreign Secretary understands that increasing humanitarian aid in the short term is critical. That’s why I’m working closely with Dr. Mohammed…
Half of black women in UK who raise concerns during labour did not receive suitable help, study finds. Maternity experiences of more than 1,000 pregnant people found black women up to four times more likely to die in childbirth. theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
