The lawsuit will be paid by taxpayers. The police won’t face any real consequences because of qualified immunity. If we want to see this change, remove qualified immunity and make police carry personal liability insurance. Or even better yet, let them be personally liable.

Taxpayers should not pay for the actions of bad cops. Eliminating qualified immunity protects taxpayers and puts the burden on officers who do bad things. No reason good people should pay to defend this.

GM. The international shoe bomber failed on December 22, 2001. It wasn’t until 5 years later in 2006 that the TSA added shoe-removal requirement. Now, they abrupted stopped, which makes us think it was just “security theater” and a jobs program the whole time. #AbolishTheTSA
RECEIPTS: @GovWesMoore is gaslighting Marylanders about the budget he inherited. In 2023, he bragged about a $5 BILLION surplus. Two years later, he burned through it and passed the largest tax and fee hike in state history. That’s not leadership. That’s failure.
