The LMA is saddened to learn of the passing of Joey Jones. We send our condolences to Joey's family and all who knew him at this time.

🎓 Congratulations to LMA Committee Member Darren Moore, who has today received an honorary degree from the University of Derby for his extensive charity work and incredible impact on the local community.

Big day at St. George’s Park 👏 Our first-ever alumni event with the LMA brought UEFA Pro & Tech Director grads together for expert-led workshops, powerful conversations and connections with special guests Hope Powell CBE and Martin O’Neill OBE.

The LMA is deeply saddened by the passing of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva. Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this extremely sad time.

Back-to-back 🏆 Congratulations to Lee Carsley and his players on winning the U21 European Championships in Slovakia! In doing so, Lee becomes the first U21 manager since Dave Sexton in 1982 and 1984 to win consecutive tournaments.

Congratulations to former LMA President Gareth Southgate who received a knighthood at Windsor Castle today in honour of his incredible service to football. He becomes the fourth England manager to be knighted, behind Sir Walter Winterbottom, Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson.

🎂 The LMA wishes Keith Burkinshaw a very happy 90th birthday. Keith's managerial career spanned over three decades, including eight years at Tottenham Hotspur with whom he won successive FA Cups and the 1983-84 UEFA Cup.

Looking forward to the year ahead with the 2025-26 cohort who began the LMA Diploma in Football Management at St. George's Park this week! 🎓 Students took part in a number of vocationally relevant workshops, delivered by a fantastic team of consultants, experts and LMA Members.

🎖️ David Moyes OBE. We congratulate LMA Committee Member David Moyes on receiving his OBE at Windsor Castle today, following his appointment in the New Year Honours list for services to football.

Pep Guardiola has been awarded an honorary degree by The University of Manchester, recognising his extraordinary contribution to our city over nine years on and off the pitch! 🩵
