Pleasure to be here in Hong Kong with the team @LFC ❤️🇭🇰
He left the Reds 15 years ago today
I was selfish and made many mistakes - I apologised to my former boss liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football…
One of my favourite ever Joey stories is from an interview with @LFChistory. It was from when Liverpool played away at the Nou Camp against Barcelona in the UEFA Cup semi final in 1976. Football from a different time 😂 The great full interview is here: lfchistory.net/articles/artic…
In February, we brought you the story of Phil Downey and the instrumental part he played in the creation of #LFC's most famous banner. Sadly, Phil passed away this week. The thoughts of everyone at the club are with his family and friends.
27 November 1976 Joey Jones celebrates a goal against Bristol City at Anfield. The Reds came from behind to win 2-1, as Jones scored Liverpool's second goal of the afternoon.

You'll never be forgotten, Joey! Forever a Liverpool legend... Came from Wrexham in 1975, made 100 first-team appearances, helped Liverpool FC win the First Division Cup twice as well as 2 European Cups, then returned to Wrexham in 1978. Rest in peace Joey Jones💔

We've just received a sad news that Joey Jones passed away last night💔 Joey was 20 when he signed for Liverpool FC in 1975 and he always gave nothing less than 100% on the pitch. Kopites admired the Welsh fullback and he'll go down as one of the legends of the 70's LFC. RIP😢

💔

Welcome onboard, Colossus! Ron Yeats joined Liverpool from Dundee United on 22 July 1961. He went on to have a fantastic career at Anfield, winning two League titles and the FA Cup, leading the team as a captain to become Britain's finest side in the mid 60's!

We're wishing Dirk Kuyt a very happy 45th birthday! Dirk netted 71 goals in 285 appearances for the Reds. What's your favourite moment of his great career at Liverpool?

I finally found some useful information on twitter
Hugo Ekitike is set to be the 5th player with a palindrome surname to play for Liverpool, after Andrew Hannah, David Hannah, Ozan Kabak, and Sheyi Ojo. #LFC
Two Second Division winners from 1962 died on 21 July... Left-half Tommy Leishman in 2021 - tough guy from Scotland joined LFC in 1959 and played 118 games under Bill Shankly. Goalkeeper Bert Slater in 2006: Tommy Lawrence's predecessor kept 29 clean sheets in 111 appearances.

On this day in 2️⃣ 0️⃣ 1️⃣ 7️⃣ Andy Robertson joined Liverpool FC, signing from Hull City. The fee was an initial £8 million, while Kevin Stewart went from Liverpool to Hull for nearly the same amount. What a bargain, it has to be one of the best deals of the 21st century!

Mike Marsh turns 56 today. Happy birthday Mike! Liverpool FC spotted him in a pub team in Kirkby and signed Mike when he was 18. Kenny Dalglish gave him a first-team debut on 1 March 1989 and Marsh went on to make 101 appearances for the Reds. Many happy returns!
