Tragic. And should never have happened in the first place. Every time something like this happens we get the tired old 'lessons will be learned' but they never are. And with the government vilifying the disabled, it will only get worse.

This certainly shames us as a society. 💔 If there is any point to being registered as a ‘carer’, it should trigger support in situations such as a “pragmatic discharge” (like here) so that a GP, for example, follows up to ensure appropriate ongoing care.
