Rarely has my heart raced so fast in a movie. Eddington (2025) is nuts. Brilliantly crazy. Beyond belief. Beyond words. It might be the most politically and culturally realistic film I’ve ever seen. It is particularly gripping because it deals with a madness that everyone tries…
The way this nonsense about “significant harm” is thrown around, merely because someone expressed a different opinion, shows what a slippery slope it is to try to regulate against “harm”. Someone will always be offended, but the “too bad” rule should be the only response to…
Read the letter HWDSB sent me. What do you think? jccf.ca/wp-content/upl…
The FSUC has sent a letter to Parks Canada & three municipalities, expressing concern about the spate of cancellations of @seanfeucht. We don't endorse anyone's views, but we believe strongly that public venues don't have the right to decide what views the public gets to hear.
The government just opened its annual survey asking whether we should raise or lower immigration. Let's make sure Tim Hortons and the Century Initiative aren't the only ones filling this out. (Link in comments)
Read on for a dystopian hellscape—one that isn’t fiction.
At first they said it was only polite to refer to someone by their preferred pronounds. Then, they demanded social media censorship. Now, governments are fining, and may soon jail, people who deny the lie that men can become women. This is as terrifying as anything in "1984."
NEW: Our Vancouver event will also feature FSUC members Amy Hamm (@preta_6) and Jim McMurtry (@JimMcMurtry01), along with our Chair Lawrence Krauss (@LKrauss1). The latter two will be selling signed copies of their recent books to help fundraise for FSUC.

If you're in Vancouver on July 30th please do come along to this fundraiser I'm speaking at for @FSU_Canada. If you think free speech is under threat in Canada, just wait until you here about its plight in the UK!

A case to watch…are gender critical political beliefs protected in British Columbia? They should be.
BREAKING NEWS Nurse Amy Hamm @preta_6 has filed two human rights complaints with the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, arguing that Vancouver Coastal Health and the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives discriminated against her on the basis of her political…
2/4 🧵 Thank you @LDBildy for being an advocate to the government on our behalf and highlighting a historical exclusion of LGB Alliance Canada from our democratic process" openparliament.ca/committees/jus…
What is a reasonably observant Canadian supposed to conclude, except that protests coded “right wing” will be prosecuted to the nth degree, while others get a pass. This risks a black eye to the administration of justice.
We learned last evening that the crown has submitted their materials to our legal teams for our upcoming sentencing hearing. They are seeking a 7 year prison sentence for myself and 8 years for @ChrisBarber1975 I haven’t seen their docs yet but hopefully I’ll receive them…

More Canadians must begin to speak out against govts’ irresponsible and harmful unmitigated immigration policies. When my family immigrated to Canada decades ago, it was based on a lengthy MERIT qualification process assessing education, skills, language, social supports,…
In free-speech societies there’s nothing that “must be said.” As soon as an idea becomes mandatory (e.g. “diversity statements”), it’s wrong.
Matt, you're confusing the right not to say an arbitrary thing with the right not to say a thing that absolutely must be said by as many privileged American citizens as humanly possible at this time in history. You decided to die on the wrong hill, my friend.
Thanks for the shout-out to the Free Speech Union (@FSU_Canada)! Having painted a distressing picture of the state of free speech in Canada, Felicia identifies (at timestamp) a few people & groups who are fighting back. Join us--we need all hands on deck! youtu.be/zMOH9EkpNFs?t=…
Some of you may know that I spoke at WDI feminist question time last Saturday. I collected a bunch of dots from here and there and then managed to connect them to create a picture of where we are now in Canada, a couple of months after voters installed Carney as PM. Warning --…
I will be there to help introduce toby and welcome people, and we will have some copies of The War on Science, which will be released the day before on sale to benefit the FSUC.

Is an expansive definition of "Islamophobia" simply a backdoor return to blasphemy laws? Watch for this in Canada too. We cannot be prevented from criticizing beliefs and ideas in a free society.
Angela Rayner has backed down on "secretive" plans for a new definition of Islamophobia, expanding and extending a public consultation on the proposals, after the Free Speech Union threatened legal action. dailysceptic.org/2025/07/10/ray…
With Lucy Connolly now languishing in jail for over 330 days for a tweet, the Wall Street Journal has run an article highlighting her plight and the sorry state of free speech in the UK and Europe. dailysceptic.org/2025/07/08/luc…
