Look out for Madison Southern in the 11th Region If they buy in to new coach Juan Byar's philosophy they will surprise a lot of people. We know what Hadley French and Laci Sandlin can do when healthy and look out for "young guns" Brianna Hensley, Olivia Coburn, and Cami Duerson.

Cooper - Can never forget about the Lady Jaguars, I still have not found a weakness in 2027 Haylee Noel's game and there is a lot of other talent on this squad, they play tough and scoring against them is never easy.

Destiny Bramblett has got it cooking down at North Hardin and will be very good this year, strong inside, guards that can shake-and-bake with the best, good young talent, could be special in 2025-2026.

Don't go to sleep on Assumption, Coach "K" has done an excellent job with this squad and they are talented and deep. They don't have any skyscrapers but they have several players with excellent length and athleticism, several scorers, and they will play stifling defense, watch!

The 2025-2026 season will be interesting to say the least with several teams challenging for the top spot. The teams I personally viewed that impressed included Sacred Heart, GRC, Assumption, Cooper, North Hardin, etc.

The Cardinal Classic was excellent both from a talent level as well from an organizational standpoint. GRC Coach Robbie Graham pays attention to ever detail and extends hospitality to everyone The level of competition is outstanding and gives you an excellent view of the future

This summer was very educational for me, I did not get to attend as many events as I would have liked because of previous obligations and needing to replace my air and heating systems during the hottest week of the year so far. However The time I spent in the gym was eye opening

2025 KABC Bluegrass Cardinal Classic - This was a very incomplete list of players who impressed this week, they were many stars from the out of state schools and several teams I did not get to see as I focused on the GRC main gym and auxiliary gym at the high school.
