As staff members of University of Groningen, we are on #strike today to protest against the planned budget cuts in higher education in the Netherlands, which will have disastrous effects if the go through. Stop the budget cuts, save the future of higher education!
through indepth interview, we then identified 5 main tactics that netizens used to circumvent censorship: Wordplay, visualization, decontextualization and recontextualization, throwaway accounts, and link sharing.
In this article, we first argue that Chinese censorship is a multilayered mechanism, which includes self censorship, platform censorship, and physical enforcement.

I just presented my latest research with @seldridge and @MJBroersma on populism and disconnection. This study primarily explores what is sensitivity from users' perspective and examines the strategies Chinese netizens use to navigate internet censorship and minimize risks
