Fond of Mutants, cyborgs, and shooty bang bangs. Primarily focused on making Divine Twilight, a sketchy FPS running on AlephOne.
Divine Twilight Chapter 1 has been released! Please enjoy this 7 level adventure of black and white! Currently only on Steam but Kiwi will work on getting it on Simplicity. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi… #classicmarathon #ネクロニカ
You know what Kiwi'd like to see take off in the game industry? Director's cuts and other such things. Don't sell him the game he already owns but you upped the resolution on some textures, offer him a version of the game that has those levels and stuff you cut.
Kiwi is of the firm belief that Google deserves a pipe bomb for every time they make his phone blow up with notifications claiming that he needs to turn on their services to protect his privacy. The last 2 minutes would have earned them 8.
If there's one thing that Kiwi finds off-putting when first starting a new game, it's "We intentionally made all your equipment lack core functions to make fixing it part of the progression scheme."
Kiwi's spent the last couple of days working on this guy. The work file for it was an utter mess that caused a lot of problems, but barring any bugs that show up, the Penitent is ready to go for release. #screenshotsaturday
Kiwi has gotten everything put together to the point he can have other people playtest the whole scenario. Now Kiwi is just going to spent his time polishing everything he can before release.
Kiwi took a crack at making trucks in the engine as part of the level geometry.

A "good enough" version of the intro and outro exists and bunch of other things have been done that don't make for good "show this off" material, but here is at least a WIP room as part of the visual touch up for maps. #screenshotsaturday
Kiwi's started work on the art that's getting in at the start, end, and inbetween and right now it is the definition of "Make it exist first. Fix it later."
Spent a week's worth of working hours cleaning up this guy's animations to this point. Now Kiwi just has to do this for the rest of the cast, and the weapons.
Kiwi was dumb and forgot the tag, so he's adding the item sprites he whipped up today and pretending the last post didn't happen. #screenshotsaturday

The main thing that happened this week was map 7 getting done up. Now Kiwi's going back to add in more visual clutter and details to maps to make them look a little nicer.

Kiwi has been timing himself to see how much time he does/can get done working on his project everyday. Kiwi has been wondering, especially those who do #gamedev as a side/part time job, how much time do you spend each day working on your project?
Kiwi has finished playtesting the final map for Chapter 1. Now Kiwi is going to spend the month on getting the assets he skipped over in favor of getting the maps done in a timely manner and cleaning everything up to be put together into one continuous package.
There is an irony that Kiwi has the most ideas for how to make the map visually interesting is for the map that the player is both in a rush due to impending death and also can't see very far.
