Congratulations to @ScotDanceCanada and everyone who worked so hard to make the #Ottawa championship with 1000 dancers such a huge success! Thanks to our talented, brave and beautiful dancers for putting on a tremendous show. Our Highland dancing community is forever in my heart!

Thank you to @HumberPoly for this very special honour. It means so much because I have a lifelong connection to the Humber community! It was wonderful and exciting to watch each graduate be celebrated by President @amvaughan. My heartfelt congratulations to the class of 2025!

Happy Father’s Day! Dad, I miss you everyday, you were my everything.

Canada needs a Minister with Research in their title. Sectors like aviation, automotive and natural resources are building blocks of Canada that improve economic growth. Science is also fundamental to economic growth, building the future, and has never been more important.

Heartbroken to hear of the passing of my friend and former seat mate, Marc Garneau. A renowned astronaut and tireless public servant. He never missed a chance to tell me how much he loved his family. As our country grieves, I hope Pam and his loved ones find comfort and strength.

Science and research matter. They are fundamental building blocks of Canada. We need a minister with research in their title. Research leads to innovation and economic growth. Time for Canada to lead and welcome researchers to build Canada.

No one ever wants to be known for cancer. But if we help one person feel less alone, opening up is worth it. We are inspired daily by Canadians across the country doing hard things. In the last 4 days, I had 2 surgeries, and I have a NEW HIP! Time to buckle down and train.
Life brings surprises. Some good, some more challenging. Two weeks ago I found my octopus guide on the reef. Now I am through my fourth surgery in 2+ years, awaiting a fifth. To those who are hurting in any way, you are in my heart, I am beside you, and I’m lifting you up!

Laws against rape have evolved over ~4000 years. Rape originated as a crime against property, not a person. Today, laws still contain vestiges of their archaic origins, do not reflect the dynamics of rape and sexual assault, and bias and myth still infect the justice system.
Happy Mother’s Day! Thanks to the women who give us life, nurture us, and guide us through scraped knees, first loves, and big dreams. Grateful to all the women who have touched my life and continue to inspire me every day. We truly stand on the shoulders of giants.

People around the world are standing up for science, evidence, and fact. We have the talent and values to build bridges and welcome the world. Time for strong action to protect our future, health, environment, and economy. When we support research, we all win.

Sending inspiration, joy and rejuvenation from the reef.
Before the next chemo. Back to discovery. Back to exploration. Finding joy, diving with sharks and stingrays on the reef.

Cancer is hard. Sending strength, kindness, and support to people and families going through treatment across the country. Know that I am beside you always. Wishing you joy, laughter, and something new you could do today.

Congratulations to everyone who had the caring and courage to put their name forward to serve their community and Canada. Warm wishes to those who are returning to Ottawa and those who will take their seat for the first time. Thanks for choosing service at this critical moment.

Farewell to Pope Francis. A source of inspiration who saw the humanity in all of us, embodied compassion and peace, was a powerful voice for the voiceless, and who challenged us to build bridges and be more empathetic.
