My little rig & sample video of @Keycard_ Shell. Let me know how it feels! Time to do my nails and film some cool stuff. What would you like to see first? 1.Initializing and setting a duress PIN 2.Creating a new key pair 3.Importing an existing recovery phrase π¬π³π
We received our testers' feedback that the standard QWERTY layout slows input. So we updated to ABC, together with smarter suggestions and selective key activation
Replacing a tiny transistor on a Shell prototype board. And we are back in business.
.@Keycard_ sent me one of their @Logos_network branded keycards (1 of many). Excited to use it together with @Keycard_ Shell. Thank you @glgrau x.com/0x_r4bbit/statβ¦
The coolest hardware wallet you can get. @Logos_network @Keycard_
Keycards are powerful crypto hardware, because they are affordable... Much more so than buying a couple of Ledgers
I think Safe + @Keycard_ setups can be very powerful. Really keen especially on a 2oo3 setup for individuals: - 1 primary signer card - 1 backup card - 1 trusted co-signer In a regular flow users would interact only with the signer card and the co-signer would run checks andβ¦
If you missed my talk at the @0xHolonym Townhall on how @Keycard_ tech can enable value exchange, grassroots governance, and decentralized ID issuance in fragile communities - hereβs the recording, notes, and outcomes: holonym.notion.site/Townhall-7-Julβ¦ (my part starts around minute 20)
Time for some flexing π We have been busy testing the keypad silkscreen; to ensure low wear, so that you can enjoy Shell for a long time

Days ago, I saw a new airgap wallet: The Keycard Shell. It seems pretty perfect to me. This is like the ChainSigner idea, but with a smartcard to hold and protect the private key. Because I always felt that having to scan your mnemonic each time was kind of dumb.
@keycard_ is more than a hardware wallet! Itβs an open-source technology that can be built upon for identity and payments. Weβre super glad to see initiatives like this pushing the needle where it matters π
Tomorrow at the @0xHolonym Townhall, Iβll present a concept built on open-source @Keycard_ tech to lower the barrier to decentralized value exchange, governance & identity focusing on fragile communities where it matters most. Join π lu.ma/owmtdra1

The Keycard + Shell combo is quite powerful. Keycards are cheap signers in a battle-tested format. Second signers on a @safe, and tap to sign on @ethstatus And Shell transforms any Keycard into a full-featured hardware wallet. On the go, or at home.

Absolutely! And the beauty of JavaCards is that, on top of being highly secure and cost-effective, they offer great flexibility and modularity. Depending on the user's security setup and preferences, they can be used with mobile apps via tap, or with an air-gapped hardware walletβ¦

Remember 2021? If you make a NFT of a real Diamond ... you better store it on an 100% open hardware wallet

I want my hardware wallet to be a full fledged device. I want it to be transparent, something I can rely on for a decade to come @Keycard_ is on right track, doing my preorder right now
Hereβs a production sample video for @Keycard_ Shell featuring: - freshly fixed nails - my unreleased OG music track - AI narration (I tried recording my voice, but the AI doing it better) Curious to hear your thoughts!
